Find your perfect fit
Heads come in different shapes and sizes — and everyone wears their hat a little differently. Follow the steps below to find your correct Inevitável size before you order.
How to measure your head
- Wrap a flexible tape measure around your head, approximately one to two fingers above your eyebrows and one finger above your ears.
- Keep the tape level and firm — not too tight.
- Note your measurement in centimetres.
No tape measure? Use a piece of string, then measure its length against a ruler.
Important: always add 1 cm to your measurement.
Whatever your head circumference, add 1 cm to determine your correct hat size.
For example: a 57 cm head wears a size 58 hat.
The internal leather sweatband will gently mould to your head over time. Hats do not stretch.
Between sizes
If your measurement falls between two sizes (for example 57.5 cm), add 1 cm first (58.5 cm), then round up to the next whole size — in this case, size 59.
To fine-tune the fit while the hat breaks in, place a small strip of foam hat tape beneath the inner band.
How you wear your hat
Your preferred wearing style affects where the hat sits and how it feels:
- Flat on the head — positioned one to two fingers above the eyebrows.
- Tilted back on the crown — brim sitting at the start of the hairline.
Both are correct. Keep your preference in mind when measuring.

Frequently asked questions
Do I really need to add 1 cm to my measurement? Yes, always. Adding 1 cm ensures comfort and a proper fit. A 57 cm head wears a size 58 hat.
What if my measurement is a half size, like 57.5 cm? Add 1 cm first (57.5 becomes 58.5), then round up to the next whole size. In this case, order size 59.
Can I use another brand's size chart? Hat sizing varies between brands depending on construction and internal finish. Always measure your head and apply our 1 cm rule for the most reliable result.
Do Inevitável hats stretch over time? No. The leather sweatband will softly mould to your head with wear, but the hat itself will not increase in size.
What if my hat feels slightly loose? Place a small strip of foam hat tape beneath the inner band while the hat adjusts to your shape.
